We are excited to announce auditions for The Prince of Egypt, a powerful and inspiring production based on the beloved film. This production celebrates a story of faith, freedom, and the strength of the human spirit—and we want YOU to be part of it!
General Info
- Audition Dates: May 18 7:00-9:30pm, May 19 5:00-9:30pm
- Location: Waco Civic Theatre
- Rehearsals: 6:30-9:30pm (9pm for children), Monday through Thursdays. Work Calls on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. An extended tech week rehearsal schedule will be provided to cast members.
- Performance Dates: July 18-20 & 25-27
What to Prepare
- Please prepare a 1-minute cut of a song (pop/contemporary, musical theatre, gospel, etc.). Use a karaoke track on your own device or sing a capella.
- Please wear comfortable attire and come ready to move.
- You may be asked to read sides from the script.
***If you are unable to attend auditions in-person, video submissions will be accepted. Please email your vocal audition clip along with your name and phone number to BoxOffice@wacocivictheatre.com by Saturday 5/17 at midnight.

Roles Available
We are seeking talented actors, singers, and movers of all backgrounds for principal and ensemble roles. Children ages 7 and up are welcome to audition as well.
- Moses – Charismatic, passionate, a reluctant hero with a deep inner conflict. (Male age 18-39, Tenor)
- Ramses – Proud, determined, struggles with the weight of legacy. (Male age 18-39, Baritenor)
- Tzipporah – Fierce, independent, and kind-hearted. (Female age 18-39, Mezzo-Soprano)
- Aaron – Moses’s Hebrew brother: a leader in the making, strong-willed and devoted. (Male age 22-40, Tenor)
- Young Aaron – Moses’s Hebrew brother (Male age 7-9)
- Miriam – Moses’s Hebrew sister: compassionate and unwavering in her faith. (Female age 25-45, Soprano)
- Young Miriam – Moses’s Hewbrew sister (Female age 7-11)
- Hotep – The High Priest of Egypt (Male age 50-65, Baritone)
- Pharaoh Seti – The Pharaoah of Egypt. Commanding, carries himself great dignity and authority. (Male, Baritone/Bass age 50-69)
- Queen Tuya – Regal and commanding, with wisdom and strength. (Female age 35-55, Alto)
- Nefertari – Ramses’s wife and his Queen of Egypt. Imperious and haughty. (Female age 20-39, Alto)
- Jethro – The High Preist of Midian and Tzipporah’s father. Warm, wise, and joyful. (Male age 50-65, Baritone)
- Ensemble & Featured Roles – Dynamic vocalists and movers of all ages 8 and up to bring this epic story to life!
